Good basic stitch to clean up edges, add a little something and can be expanded into points, add picots. Suddenly you are making snowflakes. Is a lot of fun. On a long scarf, change it up every foot. Good learning/sampling tool. I am curious on where you heard that English knitting (throwing yarn with right hand) is American knitting? That’s a new one on me. I’ve only heard it called English.
I haven’t crocheted in about 50 years (Oh, my goodness! I’m OLD!) except to chain a “ribbon” instead of doing an I-band or whatever it is called. Thank you for the very clear instructions and video.
