Intermediate Continental Knitting
Once you’ve gone through the knitting and purling videos, get up, stretch, and pat yourself on the back. Good work!
Remember, if you find yourself concentrating really hard on each movement just to make it work, it’s because your brain is learning a whole new set of movements. With practice they will get recorded in your implicit memory and you will be doing it without consciously trying.
Make a swatch and practice knitting for a few rows, and then purling for a few rows. When you feel relatively comfortable, try adding the following techniques into the mix.

Tips for Knitting Continental: Do You Have the “U?”
When I was recently teaching a friend to knit, I decided to teach him Continental-style from the beginning.
Getting his left hand to behave was the trickiest part, and also the part that helped him improve the most when he got the hang of it.
