Knitalong Lesson 9: What Size Socks Should I Make? Pick Your Size and Circle Your Numbers - 06/20/20
Time to measure your feet! To know which size socks to make, use a tape measure and measure around the widest part (the ball) of your foot. Once you choose your size, go through the pattern and circle the numbers that apply to your size.
Knitalong Lesson 10: Where to Ask Questions if You’re Knitting Ahead - 06/22/20
If you are one of those intrepid knitters who has worked ahead of the group, and you have questions on topics coming up (e.g. cast-on or heel turn…), I’ve created a special section of the knitalong for you.
Knitalong Lesson 11: Cast On - 06/26/20
It’s time to learn to cast on for toe-up socks! This is the hardest part of toe-up socks, and you will feel so accomplished once you do it. If your yarn and/or needles haven’t arrived yet, you can use scrap yarn to practice this cast-on.
Knitalong Lesson 12: Learn JMCO for Two-at-a-Time - 07/03/20
It’s time to ACTUALLY CAST ON for your two-at-a-time, toe-up socks. Hooray! Get your yarn and needles and Go to the appropriate chapter in your Toe-Up Socks class. Watch the video there on how to cast on for toe-up socks two-at-a-time.

Recommended Circular Needles: Addi Turbo by Skacel

My favorite circular needles for knitting FAST. The blunt tips don’t hurt your fingertips, and the joins are smooth as silk.
My recommended needle lengths are:
– 47″ for two-at-a-time knitting
– 40″ for anything else on Magic Loop
– 30-47″ for Moebius knitting
Recommended Fabric Care: Soak by Soak Wash

My favorite no-rinse wool wash for blocking your knit garments. Comes in lovely scents and also unscented. Just squirt some in cold water and add your garment (or gauge swatch) and let soak for 15-20 minutes. Squeeze to remove water and lay flat to dry or block.
Recommended Fabric Care: Sock Blockers by Knitter's Pride

Sock blockers are the perfect way to make your finished socks look their best. Whether you are going to keep them for yourself or give the socks as a gift, the last step before you wear your knit socks is always to block them. The even and smooth shape persists even after machine washing and drying.
