Bind-Off

Lesson 28 - August 12, 2020

Bind-Off

Even though we're not to the bind-off yet, some knitters have had questions. I recommend you try Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off (JSSBO) for your socks.

Here’s a blog post that goes into detail about the bind-off:

If you have questions on your bind-off, post them here in the comments.

  1. Hi Liat,
I have fininshed my heels – YAY! and have knit 2 more inches. I would like to have a rolled edge similar to Rose City Rollers on ravelry. I used worsted weight cotton yarn. Which bind off would you recommend?

    1. Hi Sally,

Great question! I love that you are personalizing these socks.

I would recommend the EZ Sewn bind-off. It is very stretchy (good for your cotton yarn which has little stretch) and will also bounce back into shape so as not to get stretched-out. It will also easily roll on Stockinette stitch.

The video is part of our I Love Bind-Offs class, but you can read the written instructions on how to do the bind-off for free here:

I hope this helps! Let me know how it goes. :)

      Cheers,
      Liat
