This unique felted moebius bowl pattern is the product of three generations of moebius bowls — inspired originally by Somersaulting Rim Bowl by Cat Bordhi.
This moebius bowl pattern is fun and slightly challenging — bet you’ve never done a moebius with five twists before! Combine Magic Loop with Moebius knitting to make the small bowl and you'll be very proud of yourself.
If you've never knit a moebius, you've been missing out! This infinity-loop technique is interesting, different, and challenging.
I've adapted Cat Bordhi's somersaulting rim bowls to have not one, but five twists, in its moebius rim.
You can knit this nesting pair of felted bowls with one skein each of two colors of chunky yarn.
The large bowl is perfect for storing bills, keys, and pens. The small one can be good for cash, spare change, or always, yarn!
The pattern includes video tutorials for the special moebius cast-on and how to make five twists in your moebius.
P.S. Learning the moebius technique is a wonderful tribute to the late great Cat Bordhi, who contributed so much creativity and joy to the world of knitting. I hope you enjoy this surprising and unusual technique!
