I Have Learned So Much

In regards to: Fair-Isle Knitting

This was my first felted and Fair-Isle project. I felted it too much but I believe it still turned out good for my first one. My sister loved it for her birthday present. I’m making another one for my daughter and myself. Thank you Liat Gat for your Ebooks. I have learned so much. :)

    1. Hi Anita,

The bag will be a very large, loose, and open knit if you do not felt it. What you could do if you do not want to felt it is use smaller needles, say US size 9 or 10. But even so, you may need to sew a fabric lining in it to make it usable as the knit fabric will have holes that items could slip out through. You could also pop in one of those purse organizers that are everywhere these days.

      I hope this helps!

  1. What a beautiful pattern. Learning to knit fair isle is on my bucket list and this looks like it will be a lovely, functional way to start.

    Thank you
